COVID-19 Guidelines and Class Booking Information.
I am very excited to announce that I have returned to the Weatherley Centre teaching face to face classes. I have prepared a 3-page covid-secure risk assessment, put in place all safety measures for your class experience and set up a booking system. Please understand that everything mentioned below will be in place until social-distancing measures are relaxed. This is the only way I can run my classes adhering to government guidelines and keeping you all covid-safe.
If you are considering returning to classes I would like you to read the following questions. If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions I would strongly advise you to stay at home and continue to use my online platform. Please remember, we are still in a pandemic. I am running my classes to the safest degree but there is still a level of risk. It is down to each individual to make that choice.
1. Are you in the ‘vulnerable’ category?
2. Do you have any underlying health conditions such as COPD, asthma, a heart condition?
3. Are you living with someone who is vulnerable or has any underlying health conditions?
If you have answered ‘no’ to all the questions and feel 100% fit and healthy then please read the following information CAREFULLY. There are a lot of changes and I need you to read and understand the whole ‘back to class’ process.
Booking and paying for your class.
I have set up an online booking system as I am not allowed to handle cash and due to safety regulations there is a limit of 15 spaces per class. I am using Gymcatch which is a booking system used by hundreds of fitness instructors. It is simple and easy to use. Simply click on the link below and it will take you through the process, alternatively, if you have a smartphone you can download the Gymcatch App and then simply book and pay that way. Please watch the video at the bottom and I walk you through the booking process step-by-step.

Once you have booked and paid for your class you will receive an email notification from Gymcatch and I will email you a covid-secure health questionnaire. It is vital that you complete this form and return via email before you attend my class. (You will only need to fill in this form the first time you book a class with me, it will then be stored digitally according to GDPR regulations).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Due to added set up costs (booking system, payment fees, cleaning equipment) I am having to raise the price to £7 per class. I am also unable to offer any refunds if you cancel, so please think carefully before you book and pay for each class.
There is a limit of 20 spaces per class so once the class is full you will not be able to book that particular class. Please pop yourself on the waiting list and you will be notified if a space becomes available. You will be able to book up to 30 days worth of classes each time you log in with gymcatch.
Arriving for your class.
You will not be able to enter the Weatherley Centre building through the main entrance. This area is now off-limits. Please enter through the fire exit door to the main hall. This is situated in the car-park area. Please remain in your car until just before the class begins. I will open the entrance door 5 minutes before the class commences. Please leave all belongings in the car and only bring in your keys, water bottle, and phone (if you have one). I have to eliminate touchpoints and create as much space as possible to exercise in the venue, so no coats and bags can be brought into the hall. (There will also be no tables or chairs along the sides of the hall). Face masks need to be worn when entering the hall, once you have reached your coloured floor marker you can then remove your mask. This is for your utmost safety and it will not detract from the class experience. If you need to use the toilet please wear your face mask. You will also need to wear your face mask when exiting the hall after the class has finished
Upon entering the hall you will find coloured disc markers located on the floor. Please firstly sanitise your hands using the gel provided at the door and then stand behind a floor marker. Place your water bottle, keys and possible face mask on the coloured floor marker and stand a few paces behind it ready to start the class.
You will be spaced 4 metres apart from each other, which allows for side to side movement and forward and backward movement. Please try and stay in the region of your floor marker at all times. If at any point you need to use the toilet, simply put on your face mask, use the hand sanitiser on the shelf to the right-hand side of the double doors to the hallway. Upon returning to the main hall, please use the hand sanitiser again and move to your marker keeping 2 metres apart from your fellow class members and place your face mask on your floor marker. I would suggest bringing your mask in a small plastic bag.
Due to government regulations, we are not allowed to sing, shout or whoop whoop! This is due to breathing aerobically when we exercise and so the aerosol droplets are increased and can spread further when we sing and shout. I know this sounds ridiculous but we have to adhere to the guidelines and I have to keep you safe.
Leaving the class.
When the class has finished simply pop on your face mask, pick up your belongings and leave via the exit door. Please feel free to use the hand sanitiser on the way out.
Please note: If you arrive early and need to use the toilet facilities, please tap on the fire exit door and I will let you in. Please DO NOT enter the main entrance of the building.
Due to government regulations, I have to make sure that the hall is ventilated with natural air throughout the class. So all of the windows will be open upon arrival and doors will then be opened if the hall becomes warmer. If you suffer from the cold or draughts I would strongly advise you not to attend my classes until government restrictions are relaxed and stay using my online platform at home where you can regulate the temperature yourself.
